There are two types which are Lithium-ion and Lithium Polymer. The lithium polymer battery has a higher price, but comes with more efficiency. It is mostly equipped within mobile phones. Output Charging Speed
The output charging speed to other portable devices is no less important than the input charging speed. You have to choose the backup battery that has a proper output value with your portable devices. For example, if you have the iPad Mini with a battery capacity of 4,490 mAh and your backup battery has an output value of 1.0 Ah, you will have to spend 4.490 hours of charging time (4 and a half hours). But if your backup battery has an output value of 2.1 Ah, it will take only 2 hours to fully charge.

To select an appropriate battery backup, you should take your portable devices’ capacities into account such as iPhone 5 comes with 1,440 mAh battery, Samsung Galaxy S4 has a battery capacity of 2,400 mAh, iPad 9.7" has around 12,000 mAh, etc. If you have all these 3 devices and need a spare battery that can charge all of them at the same time, you would need a spare battery of 1,440 + 2,400 + 12,000 = 15,840 mAh or more.
Discharging Speed or Decomposition of Charge
This is another factor to be considered when buying a power bank. In case that you leave a spare battery unused for a long time, the battery capacity will gradually decrease making it impossible to fully charge other portable devices. But at present, there is no clear indication to measure this kind of loss so it is very difficult to check. However, it has been observed that buying too cheap power bank will often result in less efficiency because it is assembled from low quality parts which lead to a high discharge rate. Therefore, you should not buy a spare battery that is way too cheap.
Of course, the price is one of the most significant variables in buying a spare battery. In the market, there are a variety of spare batteries to choose from with prices ranging from a few hundred baht to several thousand baht depending on the brand, capacity, input/output charging value, and type of battery used.
